On November 1, 2017, the State of Rhode Island and the City of Providence officially approved the Law Office of Marisa Desautel, LLC under their Women Business Enterprise programs.
Pursuant to RIGL §37-14.1-1, the purpose of these programs is to carry out Rhode Island’s policy of supporting the fullest possible participation of firms owned and controlled by minorities and women in city and state funded and directed public construction programs and projects and in city and state purchases of goods and services.
The office received this designation following application to the Rhode Island Minority Business Enterprise Compliance Office. The designation was issued based on the office’s qualification as a “small business concern, which is owned and controlled by at least fifty-one percent (51%) women.” RIGL §37-14.1-3.
